About Us
My love affair with dogs started , when I was given my first dog ,
as a present from my parents the age of 13, his name was Arthur a sable/white
rough collie. I entered him for a local village fete dog show, which he won 1st
in best condition class, well that was it I was hooked on the drug called dog
shows!!!!!
I was soon going to exemption dog shows, (companion shows
as we know them now ) every week with my parents driving me here there and
everywhere, I even took a weekend job at Mr + Mrs Goodmans well known GSD
kennel "Barbariska". While I was working there I spent more and more time
getting involved with dogs and dog shows, I remembered that Mrs Goodman's
Barbariska Cindy went BIS at the Scottish Kennel Club All breeds Championship
show, well that just fuelled my passion for more dogs and more shows.
As soon as I left school and saved enough money I brought myself a blue merle
rough collie from the famous Pelido Kennel, PELIDO BLUE BEARD, which I had
great fun with at open and champ shows, I then brought another blue merle dog
Rickwood Nickolas Silver, he won 2 res CC's for me, and its from this my
FERNLARK AFFIX was born. I have over the years owned and bred CC'S, Res CC
winners and the INTERNATIONAL CH FERNLARK SKY WALKER, who was sold abroad as a
puppy, and to this day you will find my breeding behind many Rough Collie
Champions home and abroad.
My love for salukis came when I was
exercising my collies in a valley on the surrey hillsides, and up on top of the
hill the late Peta Tribe would run her salukis, well once again I was hooked
the shere beauty of the salukis running free on the wind was breathtaking. Well
needless to say I acquired a puppy from Peta a silver grizzle dog called
JAUHARA OMAR, not a born showman but I had fun in the ring qualifying him for
Crufts at his first show at just 6 mth. I then brought a cream dog from Zola
Rawson MUMTAZ CONCERTO, well was he naughty, dog shows comprised of digging up
the ring to charging across it at great speed, to the great embarasment of
myself and others !!!!
So still smitten and a glutten for punishment I
brought a 3rd puppy from Helen and David Graham, DAXLORE KASHAN, what a gentle
dog he turned out to be, nothing like my naughty 'Loui' Mumtaz Concerto. I had
great fun with him in the ring winning a res CC and many placings at ch shows,
and so my love for salukis remains to this day. I have since won many CC's and
Res CC's with my salukis which are pictured on my website, I hope you enjoy
